Storm Damaged Tree Removal in Centreville, MD
June 12, 2025

Following a recent storm on the Eastern Shore of Maryland, accompanied by heavy rainfall, a client's tree uprooted and fell onto their house. This particular tree would have been the town's responsibility had it fallen into the street; however, it unfortunately landed on their property, making it their responsibility. After receiving the call and completing the job we were working on, the crew arrived at the site within 2 hours and commenced the removal of the tree from the house. The tree was situated in a challenging location on a busy downtown street in Centreville with significant daytime traffic. Thankfully, the fallen tree caused minimal damage, and no further damage occurred during the tree removal process.
Wet soil combined with strong winds can severely compromise a tree's stability and intense wind gusts during storms heighten the stress on root systems.
When the soil is saturated during these storms, the chances of uprooting increase significantly. Uprooted trees can lead to considerable property damage, pose a risk of injury to individuals nearby, and can be challenging or even hazardous to remove. It is essential to understand the dangers posed by saturated ground and high winds to safeguard your property and the trees you love. Excessive rainfall and powerful winds undermine tree stability, endangering both people and property. Homeowners can reduce this risk by monitoring their trees, ensuring proper drainage, and consulting with professionals.
